Ryan Ratcliffe Ginetta Challenge Championship 2011, Racing for Piranha Motorsport, Sponsored by Groundhog.

Ryan began racing in 2009 in the Saxmax Championship, with coaching from Piranha team manager Simon Mason. With no previous experience Ryan progressed rapidly, scoring a seasons best 4th place and finishing a highly credible 8th overall, in his first ever season of motorsport. In 2010 Ryan entered the highly competitive Ginetta G40 Junior Championship with Piranha Motor Sport. It was a huge step up, moving from a FWD drive road car, to a RWD race car. This challenge was made more difficult without the benefit of a team mate as a bench mark. However, Ryan worked hard and learnt a huge amount, scoring a seasons best 4th place. In 2011 Ryan is competing in the Ginetta Challenge Championship. He is driving an upgraded Ginetta G40 featuring slick tires and a sequential gearbox, which suit his driving style. Pre season testing has been very promising and Ryan is on front running pace. With a new team mate to compete against, 2011 promises to be an exciting year of racing.
